The Army Engineer Association (AEA) is working to establish a network of local AEA Chapters in various locations.
These individual chapters will serve as an information conduit for getting information and ideas out to the entire Army Engineer Community.
In order to start setting these up, we need volunteers to help establish and operate these local chapters.
The AEA has developed a “Chapter Kit” which will make it easier to establish and operate a chapter.
Chapter Kit includes the following:
o SOP that guides each proposed chapter’s step-by-step process, helping to fully develop an operational chapter.
o The Army Engineer Association Bylaws
o Chapter Affiliation Agreement
o SS-4, Application of Employer Identification Number
o Army Regulation 210-22
o IRS Form 990-N User Guide
o Funding for initial startup costs
o Initial startup materials
The AEA will provided continued support to chapters in:
o Identifying local AEA members in their local area to help them reach out to get them involved in the chapter
o Assistance in linking the new chapter with other established chapters facilitating cross-talk on lessons learned
o Providing ideas for funding opportunities (i.e. AEA mobile store, 5K runs, local sponsorship, and more)
If you are interested in volunteering, please get in touch with the AEA Executive Director COL (R) James “Jim: Rector at email: [email protected] or by phone at 573-528-5757. You can also reach the AEA Marketing Director Mr. Matthew Vaughn at email [email protected] or by phone at 573-329-6678.
Please include your contact information as well as the location of the desired AEA chapter in your correspondence.
