About the Super Sapper Award
The Super Sapper Award is a component of the U.S. Army Engineer Regimental Award Program and is administered by the Army Engineer Association for the Engineer Regiment.
The Engineer Super Sapper award was conceived and initiated in 2001 by BAE Systems, an AEA Supporting Firm Member, BAE Systems recognizes that the AEA provides valuable benefits to every member of the Engineer Regiment, particularly the junior enlisted Soldiers. BAE Systems has undertaken to sponsor this means to recognize the excellence and potential of the junior enlisted Soldiers of the Army Engineer Regiment, the future of our Regiment and our Army.
Super Sapper Criteria
Award eligibility criteria for approval.
- This award is an annual recognition for an outstanding Engineer Soldier (SPC and below) deemed the best in his/her Battalion, Separate Company/Detachment. The unit Command team determines its own selection procedure and performance criteria.
- The selected Soldier must hold an Engineer PMOS- SPC and below performing duty in an Engineer Unit. There will be only one award per Engineer Battalion, separate Engineer Company/Detachment.
- The Supper Sapper Program is open to Active Duty, Army National Guard and Army Reserve Engineer Battalions, Separate Engineer Companies/Detachments.
Awardees will receive the following:
- One-year complimentary membership in the AEA.
- Special Personalized Trophy with Official Engineer Regimental Coin.
- Special Award Certificate.
- World-wide recognition in the official AEA magazine, THE ARMY ENGINEER.
Super Sapper Award Pricing
Award: Super Sapper – This award is sponsored by BAE Systems and has no additional costs.
Expedited Processing: $25.00
Expediting processing is available through the online award submission portal as long as the proposed presentation date is at least two weeks after the award submission. Please note this time does not start until the award has been fully approved and is ready for processing.
Expedited Shipping:
Expedited shipping is available once awards are fully approved and processed. Expedited shipping costs will vary depending on the location at which it is to be shipped.
