Remote Sensing Specialist
Description

The Remote Sensing Specialist will be responsible for managing field operations to include, system installation, calibration, mission planning, operation, data collection and processing with the following systems: CZMIL, SHOALS, Galaxy, DSS, T-4800, RCD-30, PhaseOne cameras and/or CASI 1500, for the JALBTCX survey program for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and the Naval Oceanographic Office (NAVO) in a variety of U.S. and International locations.

Responsibilities
  • Perform system maintenance and operational troubleshooting
  • Download, process, edit and troubleshoot collected sensor data in the filed using HydroFusion and ABE software
  • Install and upgrade sensors into airborne platforms and software onto GFE processing suites
  • GPS processing, data QC, data editing and generation of image mosaics and lidar system point clouds
  • Understand hardware, software, and waveform and signal processing within ALB systems
  • Manage communications and logistics with clients, vendors, system manufacturers and internal stakeholders
  • Prepare maintenance and operational reports daily and monthly
  • Assists with staff scheduling and training
  • Field operations will include system installation, calibration, mission planning, operation, data collection and processing with the following systems: CZMIL, SHOALS, Galaxy, DSS, T-4800, RCD-30, PhaseOne cameras and/or CASI 1500.
Qualifications
  • Qualified candidates will have an BA/BS or four (4) years of related experience
  • Experience with PosPac, Terrapos, Fledermaus, ABE, and HydroFusion, and Caris software packages
  • Must possess above average supervisory skills and be computer literate
  • Must have valid U.S. passport
  • Willingness to travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations
  • Must be able to frequently lift and move more than 100 pounds
  • Extensive travel required, must be willing to work a rotational travel shift of 30 workdays and 22 days off
  • US citizen
  • Experience managing field operations for the JALBTCX survey program for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and the Naval Oceanographic Office (NAVO) in a variety of U.S. and International locations.
