Geospatial Specialist A9
Description
The Geospatial Specialist will support the Air Force A9 and the Integrated Sustainment Wargaming and Analysis Toolkit Program (ISWAT) and their stand-alone system Heisenberg, a portable system of servers and laptops that can be deployed for wargames. This specialist will be tasked with developing and integrating geospatial capabilities to ISWAT.
Responsibilities
- Identify, deploy, and maintain existing and new Geographic Information System (GIS) applications for integrating geospatial data with ISWAT that facilitate A9 geospatial mission requirements
- Provide technical and programmatic GIS support for geospatial application and data integration for ISWAT Program and A9 Organization.
- Advocate for GIS/GeoBase capabilities to A9 functional offices
- Applies or develops advanced theories, concepts, principles and processes in execution of quality deliverables that meet project/deliverable specifications.
- Perform geospatial data processing, analysis, and maintenance procedures on ISWAT geospatial data. The data will need to be processed multiple times using a multitude of various scenarios and variables
- Coordinate and facilitate geospatial meetings with ISWAT and A9 stakeholders
- Provide documentation to support sustainment and training for ISWAT geospatial capabilities
- Facilitate training, support, and communication among ISWAT program managers, GeoBase personnel and the A9 community
- Participate in war-game activities requiring rapid responses and advanced manipulation of GIS data
Qualifications
- US citizenship
- BA/BS and four (4) years related geospatial experience or six (6) years related geospatial experience
- Extensive experience with ArcGIS Suite – ArcGIS for Desktop, Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Online, Python for ArcGIS
- Ability to perform complex cadastral and GIS data maintenance, manipulation, analysis, extraction and data generation assignments
- Comfortable generating teaching materials and teaching to entry level analysts
- Experience analyzing, troubleshooting and resolving GIS application problems
- Must possess active Secret (or higher) security clearance, or have ability to obtain Top Secret clearance
- Must be willing to undergo pre-employment background, drug screen and verification process
- Willingness to travel up to 25% after Woolpert & USAF COVID-19 restriction are amended

- Spatial Data Standards for Facilities, Infrastructure, and Environment (SDSFIE) GIS data standard
- DoD Geospatial IT systems
- Proficiency with server-side software to include Internet Information Server (IIS), ArcSDE, ArcGIS Server
- Experience with Air Force GeoBase Program
- Military Experience
- Specific military war-game experience
