Conferences & Seminars
The AEA announces its next Industry / Government seminar scheduled for Wednesday, 17 June 2009, at the Army and Navy Club on Farragut Square in Washington DC.
Registration will begin at 7:30. Continental Breakfast starts at 8:00 AM, followed by the Seminar Program until 1PM including lunch.
Scheduled Speakers are:
- Mr. Robert Burkhardt, Director, U. S. Army Geospatial Center “Center Overview”
- COL Gary Johnston, CDR, Engineer Research & Development Center - "ERDC's R & D Support to the Nation"
- Mr. Roger Young, Huntsville Center – “Unexploded Ordnance Detection – Current State of the Art”
- Mr. Sandy Wood, Huntsville Center – “Engineering Design Using BIM”
- Mr. Dan Sommer, Omaha District - Protective Design Center – “Overview / Antiterrorism Criteria Development / Standard Design for Installation Access Control”
Presentations will include Q and A, allowing excellent opportunity for open dialogue. MG (Ret) Clair F. Gill, AEA Board of Directors, will moderate the seminar.
Location is the Main Ballroom (2nd floor) at the Army and Navy Club, on Farragut Square, 901 17th Street NW, Washington DC.
As in earlier seminars, the purpose is to allow AEA Supporting Firm Members to participate in a meaningful exchange with key leaders in the Army on directions, programs, policies and procedures.

Non-member firm participation will cost $450.00 per attendee. Cancellations may be accepted through noon, Friday, 12 June 2009.
